Famed designer Francis Tresham ( Civilization, 18xx) returns to the forefront of game design with this simulation of the "Eighty Years' War" (1568-1648) between Spain and the Netherlands.

This epic struggle eventually brought independence to Holland.

Each player controls one of the factions involved, each with it's own goals. Although factions may co-operate, they are not allies for long and often turn on each other! The game is not a detailed military simulation, instead capturing the flavor of this time by building on economic, religious, and political control.
